ALLEN WEST has the enemy of the people triggered.
There’s a wide range of agitprop henchmen relegated to the West beat from the CEO of a progressive non-profit media behemoth to an Austin newsletter purveyor. The question remains, why are all these hacks spun up about an allegedly “irrelevant” fella?
Most signs point towards defending Governor Abbott from the right as he gears up for a reelection run in 2022 and positioning for a 2024 longshot run for the White House.
That second run is complicated by his counterpart in Florida, Ron DeSantis. Check out his shots fired podium.
THE FREEDOM CAUCUS has a friendly relationship with leadership in 2021, a fact that’s being held in contrast to the then upstart group’s relations with Speaker Joe Straus in 2017. It’s a pretty worthless comparison.
Straus, in 2017 had a nearly decade-long track record of being against conservative principals, a legacy he’s only added to since leaving office and accelerated in the past year. Phelan, Abbott’s 2021 Speaker pick, is less aggressively postured.

Biden in the White House without nothing close to the mandate that Obama had in 2008, no blue wave at the state level and statewide that need to pad their records before running in 2022. The Tribune’s PR piece smuggling the Freedom Caucus to the table also speaks to this truth.
Collecting the beleaguered caucus is part of an erasing distinction regime, part of the incumbent protection racket, poised to be a theme in 2021.
Time will tell if the Freedom Caucus is a one-hit-wonder, but thanks to the 2017 “Mother’s Day Massacre,” we have SB5, important election integrity legislation to build on in 2021.
THE TEXAS EDUCATION AGENCY has ruled students must go to school (which includes taking tests) for unions to get their scratch. A no-duh ruling that’s got the left’s noses bent out of shape.
Texas should fund kids, not unions bent on doing as little as possible for as much money as possible.
TEXAS isn’t all that pro-life. According to Americans United for Life, Texas ranks 20th, trailing Democrat-run states. This session
