Now, on to today's stories.
COVID-19 is being used by Texas Democrats to push failed policy initiatives, go figure. Paid sick-leave and Obamacare expansion of Medicaid are being agenda-set by media lackeys.
Meanwhile, Governor Abbot is asking health insurers to waive costs associated with the treatment of the virus.
DENNIS BONNEN followed up his weekend op-ed with a radio interview yesterday, it was ill-advised.
Here are some takeaways that show Bonnen has a contentious relationship with reality.
Blames "some gentleman" for insisting on the meeting
Says no list was produced (in the audio Bonnen says "he'll give you the list")
Says he pulled Burrows into the "meeting last-minute to be a witness.
The meeting between Bonnen, Burrows, and Sullivan was structured, and Burrows's attendance was integral to its proper execution. Bonnen botched it.
Rep. Drew Darby, in comments following the interview, did not give quarter to Bonnen or more importantly, Rep. Burrows.
DALLAS LAWMAKERS Rafael Anchía (D-Dallas) and Republican Morgan Meyer (R-Dallas) released a joint statement yesterday, calling for a bipartisan board to audit Dallas County’s vote recount and review election day fumbling.
The release followed a judge's ruling that Dallas County recount it's Super Tuesday results after ballots 44 memory precincts went uncounted.
Anchia, who is likely playing the race card as I type this, insisted that blame not be assigned for the Dallas County's election administration debacle. Like the issues in Harris County, blame the Democrats in charge.
MICHAEL BLOOMBERG is pulling up stakes. This was a piece of the puzzle that needed to be sorted before the "flip the House" gambit could more resolutely be put to bed.
Bloomberg said that he was going to run an ongoing campaign in Texas through November no matter the nominee. Money for nothing was always doubtful, but until he pulled the plug, it had to be baked into the analysis cake.
Now that Bloomberg is out, Democrats have suffered another blow to their delusional quest to hold seats they narrowly won in 2018 and capture the requisite nine for control of the lower chamber.
Democrats Monday announced their latest incarnation of the register-non-voters-machine.
