Today’s stories
KEN PAXTON has told election administrators running drive-thru voting in Harris and Dallas County is an illegal expansion of curbside voting.
Better late than never.
CHRISTIANS supporting Trump have been inundated with critiques since the summer. It looks like an attempt to peel off voters. None of the writings are compelling and come from distrusted voices.
The vote of evangelicals in the South was not really in question for Trump; they supported the President in his initial bid for office and did not appear to be falling away. All of the ink spilled on this topic appears to be aimed at Christians in the North who did not vote for Trump in ‘16, but after seeing four years of track record appear poised to turn out for the incumbent.
Suggesting Trump is driving seekers away from the faith and dealing Christianity, a significant blow is silly and nakedly political. The church is perfectly capable of this feat.
COPS and TEXANS in Houston are less safe because of Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg. Yesterday a police officer was murdered in Houston after being released from jail after Ogg decided not to press charges after his ex-wife reported the multiple-felon for brandishing a gun and making threats.
ATTACKS on the ALAMO continue.
MONEY flooding into Texas from Hollywood, Silicon Valley, and New York isn’t anything new, and there is no correlation between big spending and Democrat success [see: 2010, Davis, Beto].
REAL CLEAR POLITICS has placed Texas in toss-up status for the election. It’s part of the grift. If the state were likely in play, not lean Republican to safe Republican, Biden would be allocating resources here.
Derek Ryan, who is doing the lord’s work, shows that the race is currently a horse race. But, if you look at the report he’s created, Texas Democrats have the same issue that Democrats in actual swing states have at this point in the election calendar, they have a smaller pool of voters from which to draw votes.
Look at just the 4-R and 4-D voters who have shown up to date. Republicans lag by 14 points in this bracket. Those are votes that Abbott and Carney can and will likely GOTV. There are an additional 27% more votes to get in the 3-R and 2-R categories.
Meanwhile, the young vote continues to lag 2016 and 2018, and new voters are still around 10% of the vote. These numbers in Texas and elsewhere will need to be higher for Democrats to win.

LT. GOV. HBO recently interviewed DAN PATRICK that all elected officials (Democrats too) know there is “fraud in mail-in ballots.” This is true.
