Today’s Stories
ABORTION continues to dominate the news following the leaked SCOTUS draft.
The Waco-Tribune led with a nonsensical if SCOTUS overturns Roe, the country will be divided, headline. Heads up, the nation has been divided on abortion since it was initially decided in 1973.
Meanwhile, the Texas Tribune is trying to concern troll Republicans by claiming that abortion is politically popular. Hogwash. While early-term abortions have more support than the late-term variety, under no circumstances are the numbers intimidating.
It’s one thing to vaguely express support for the idea of something in a political poll. It’s entirely different to see votes move over the subject. Last check, Texas was red and poised to get redder.
Elsewhere, the Tribune examines this issue's role in the Congressional runoff between incumbent Henry Cuellar and left-wing challenger Jessica Cisneros. Cuellar is one of few remaining pro-life Democrats.

Moving to the Republican side, Greg Abbott and Dade Phelan are strangely quiet on the topic. Beyond these observations, we wait.
BOBBY FRANCIS O’ROURKE is in significant political trouble.
This newsletter’s views on Abbott aren’t a secret, but what does it say about O’Rourke that he’s losing by 10?
Ouch.
